I'm very much excited about this project i have started. Its not really a project but more i need to make a costume for mums 50th birthday party. I've decided to go as a 50s rollerskating waitress. It is the first time I've ever made some thing by myself from a pattern, mum has always helped me with this sort of thing. Although i did ring her and ask what a couple of things meant I'm pretty proud to say that i made this skirt. And it's such a cute pink! :) I have a shirt and a hat to complete yet! I will keep you posted!
well done. my sewing skills go as far as hemming skirts and hand stitching repairs for the vintage clothing i sell. i really want to give my sewing machine a proper go though, and embark on sewing something from a pattern.
